An American Dilemma in the Age of Mass Incarceration
Lauren-Brooke Eisen is Senior Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice, where she focuses on improving criminal justice system process through legal reforms, specifically around how the system is funded. Ms. Eisen has served previously as Senior Program Associate at the Vera Institute of Justice and as an assistant New York City district Attorney. Ms. Eisen’s commentary and analysis has been published in venues including the Marshall
Project, The Crime Report, and MSNBC.
Inside Private Prisons: An American Dilemma in the Age of Mass Incarceration is an examination of private prisons through the eyes of inmates, their families, correctional staff, policymakers, activists, undocumented immigrants, and for profit corrections executives. If private prisons are here to stay, how do we fix them?
