Along with the myriad platforms that digital media provide for researchers and scholars to communicate their work comes the challenge of measuring that work’s impact. Traditional measures such as citations and impact factors jostle with downloads, views, shares, likes, and retweets to provide a potentially rich portrait of both reach and significance. But how to gather all of these various metrics into one place? How to describe them and incorporate them into a cohesive and comprehensible narrative? Perhaps most importantly, how to present them to the people who make decisions about hiring, promotion, and tenure? The above facilitators will provide insight on all of these questions, and more.
