On October 10 and 11, 2017, the Smart on Crime Innovations Conference, hosted by the John Jay College, the Center for American Progress, and the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, will bring together community leaders, criminal justice practitioners, elected officials, businesses, foundations, the media, and researchers to showcase data-driven criminal justice interventions and innovations that are being implemented in cities and states.
Featured speakers and panelists include Eric H. Holder Jr., former U.S. attorney general; Governor Nathan Deal (R-GA); Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ); Anquan Boldin, retired NFL wide receiver; Karol V. Mason, president of John Jay College; Vanita Gupta, president of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. (R), former governor of Maryland; Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress; Cyrus Vance Jr., New York County, New York, district attorney; and others.
