Inspired partially by Jamal Watson’s recent article in Diverse Education, “Black Scholarship Matters” this event follows a February 26 lecture by David Rice of Morehouse University and is intended to celebrate Black teaching and learning in their many manifestations here at John Jay as well as to emphasize the ways in which we are not meeting our mission with our students and each other.
