To celebrate National Poetry Month we present this montage of performances and discussions for the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and CUNY communities.
As poets, dancers, historians, and intellectuals, and as Latinxs with specific cultural inheritances and memories, we are creating a space to share our multiple visions of hope and resistance, through the healing power of poetry, dance, creativity, and wholesome conversations.
Performers and speakers include:
- Christine Baerga (John Jay College of Criminal Justice)
- Marcia Esparza (Historical Memory Project, HMP)
- Rosalba Henao Quiceno (Crónica, Poesía y Palabra)
- Yarisa Colón Torres (Bronx Community College)
- Fernanda Martinez Varela (New York University, NYU)
- Edward Serrate (Historical Memory Project, HMP)
