The Archives Speak - Unearthing Catastrophe in Macedonia

Event Description:
When we consider an episode in history where the victims cannot speak for themselves, what role can archives and documentation play? Dr. Sofija Grandakovska, the Fall 2019 John Jay Research Visiting Scholar currently hosted by the Department of Anthropology, will speak on the anthropology of genocide, focusing on the destruction of Macedonian Jews during the Holocaust.
