Event Description:
Tabula Rasa Dance Theater will premiere a piece about the North American Wall and the idea of xenophobia as an integral part of racism. The concept of a border wall between Mexico and the US has created a crisis among us. To facilitate an explosion of artistic productivity and social awakening, Escalante believes choreography must elicit powerful and sometimes difficult emotional responses. Developed through the support of the Ford Foundation.
Tickets: $25-$55 and 63 cents for formerly incarcerated individuals and their families, and for anyone with either a legal or illegal immigration status. Why $0.63? It is the average minimum wage paid to incarcerated individuals in the State of New York.
