Guest Speaker: Steven Towler is a Forensic Toxicologist and Method Development Specialist with the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. He specializes in the development and validation of analytical methods for the quantitation of drugs of abuse and novel psychoactive substances (NPS), with publications in the Journal of Forensic Sciences, Journal of Analytical Toxicology, and Current Pharmaceutical Design. As a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY) in Toxicology, he developed a passion for analytical chemistry, which he is now using to address some of the many challenges we face within the field of Forensic Toxicology today.
