We invite interested faculty to propose workshops to run or to request topics for workshops to attend so that all of us can learn about pedagogical innovations, promote just teaching practices that disrupt implicit and explicit biases, write effective grant proposals, learn about our newest library resources, or see how programs can improve using outcomes assessment. The topics available are up to you although we may identify themes that connect across proposals to support effective scheduling.
Faculty Development Day will take place on August 24, 2017. The day’s program will include a one-hour long open discussion with the academic Deans about developments in their areas from 11 am – 12 pm, a social lunch from 12 – 12:45 pm, and then two 60-minute workshop sessions with a menu of choices for all participants. FDD will be followed by the New Student Convocation in the Gerald Lynch Theatre at 4:00 pm.
