Ingrid Griffith, Adjunct Professor in the Communication & Theater Arts Department, will be one of the invited panelists of Guyanese authors and playwright at BROOKLYN'S GUYANA, an event being held on Tuesday, November 20, at Brooklyn Historical Society. Professor Griffith has written a solo show titled, “DEMERARA GOLD”, that she's been performing nationally and internationally; and that is also a published play. “DEMERARA GOLD” is the story of a Guyanese girl and her family’s immigrant story with timely themes such as children left behind as they await visas to rejoin their parents in the U.S., assimilation, domestic violence and personal empowerment. |
