What is the Green New Deal?

Robert Pollin is Distinguished Professor of Economics and Co-Director of the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI) at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a fellow at the Sanders Institute. He was selected by Foreign Policy magazine as one of the “100 Leading Global Thinkers for 2013.” He has written many books including Greening the Global Economy and a recent article on De-Growth vs a Green New Deal. He recently also authored a major report on Medicare for All.
Kate Aronoff is a John Jay Economics graduate student and a Brooklyn-based journalist who is a contributor to The Intercept and a writing fellow at In These Times covering climate and American politics.
