Countering Violent Extremism: An Industry

Speaker: Lydia Wilson is a research fellow at the Centre for the Resolution of Intractable Conflict at the University of Oxford and a senior fellow at the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies, Graduate Center, City University New York. She is also an editor for the Cambridge Literary Review, and is working on a nonfiction book about violent extremism, The Banality of Terror.

Discussant: Peter Romaniuk is Associate Professor of Political Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Graduate Center, the City University of New York. He is Director of the Center on Terrorism at John Jay and previously served as Assistant Director of the Ralph Bunche Institute. Among his publications is the 2015 report for the Global Center on Cooperative Security, Does CVE Work? Lessons Learned from the Global Effort to Counter Violent Extremism.
