Event Description:
Join award-winning science writer Harriet A. Washington for a webinar about her new book, A Terrible Thing to Waste: Environmental Racism and Its Assault on the American Mind. The book investigates systemic environmental racism in the United States and its disproportionate effect on the physical health and intellectual power of American communities of color. 

Washington will be joined by John Jay Professor of Biology Nathan H. Lents as moderator. The presentation will be followed by audience Q&A.
