2PM – 4:30PM Mental Health Conversations: Sharing Needs
5:00PM – 7:30PM Skills Session: When People Yell
People can raise their voice in excitement, enthusiasm, or – perhaps the most frequent connotation – in anger. Different professions have had to address the difficult issue of yelling – conflict resolution practitioners, human resources managers, therapists, and more. We’ll begin by discussing different kinds of yelling and then, after that short presentation, we will discuss strategies for dealing with it.
Agenda
5:30PM – Arrive and mingle
5:45PM – When and How People Yell (15 minute Presentation)
6:00PM – Group discussion brainstorming ways to address yelling during conflict resolution processes
6:45PM – Discussion of follow-up in online community, and distribution of checklist tool
We will end at 7PM.
