Event Description:
The Institute for Innovation in Prosecution and Fordham Law School's Center on Race, Law, and Justice invite you to join us for a panel on
Law Schools, Racial Justice, and Prosecution
April 7, 2021

12:00 PM EST

The IIP, in partnership with Fordham Law School's Center on Race, Law, and Justice, will host a panel discussion on April 7th at 12:00 PM EST on law schools, the movement for racial justice, and the prosecutor's role in achieving equity.

As elected prosecutors seek to create an office culture that promotes racial equity, how can law schools and prosecutors work together to make sure the “People” really do reflect us, the people?
And how can law schools better prepare students to bring a racial justice lens to prosecution? This event brings together law professors and prosecutors to address these very questions.

Panelists include:
Blanche Bong Cook, Associate Professor of Law, University of Kentucky
Alafair S. Burke, Professor of Law, Hofstra University
Audrey Moore, First Assistant District Attorney, Manhattan District Attorney's Office
Moderated by Bennett Capers, Director, Center on Race, Law & Justice at Fordham Law School
Law Schools, Racial Justice, and Prosecution
