In today's polarizing political climate, the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) and its reverberations in societies around the world are increasingly relevant phenomena. Recent social movements in countries spanning the globe -- from recent protests in Chile to those in Lebanon -- have emphasized growing collective economic disparities and disillusionment with neoliberal economic systems. Countries in the Americas, like Chile, Nicaragua, and Guatemala, have been affected by government policies rooted in the Military Industrial Complex. |
