Presentation and Q&A:
CUNY's role in facilitating solar energy, and energy storage in NYC and NY, and how CUNY Campuses have achieved large reductions in energy use.

More than 68% of NYC GHG emissions can be attributed to the energy used to power, heat, and cool building, including the emissions from burning fossil fuels to generate electricity. The NYC Climate Mobilization Act that passed in 2019 set an ambitious goal of requiring all buildings over 25,000 square feet cut climate emissions by 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2050.

Learn what john Jay College and CUNY are doing to help NYC achieve this goal.
