Event Description:
Associate Professor of History Dr. David Munns will present a talk on his recent book, ​Far Beyond the Moon: A History of Life Support Systems in the Space Age​. The book tells the dramatic story of the effort by astronauts and scientists to solve the problems of long-term life support for humans in space, whether orbiting our planet or on long-haul journeys through the solar system.
