Event Description:
2021 Marc Holzer Public Performance Symposium
Friday, April 9, 2021
9:00 AM – 6:30 PM EDT

This year's Symposium is hosted by The National Center for Public Performance at the Institute for Public Service, Suffolk University, Boston, in collaboration with The Commonwealth Secretariat. The conference will convene two parallel tracks. Several panels, drawn from Commonwealth countries, will present best practice panels on performance improvement practices across the globe. Another cluster of panels will bring together open submissions from academics and practitioners in the U.S. and worldwide. Invited panels will develop a draft of Generally Accepted Performance Principles (GAPP) from the perspective of their acknowledged best practices. Academics and practitioners in the “open submissions” track will present independent perspectives on best practices. The keynote speaker will be The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.

The event is sponsored by: The American Society for Public Administration's Section on Public Performance and Management; and The Public Policy and Administration & Inspection and Oversight Programs at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York.
