About Samuel David Machado:
I am very proud of my background, I came from Venezuela in 2016 without speaking English. I learned English at Queens College in 2017, where I completed an intensive 6-month course at their English Language Institute (ELI). I joined John Jay in the Spring of 2018, majoring in Law & Society, minoring in Law. I graduated with honors (Cum Laude) in May 2021.
I got hired as a Litigation Paralegal at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz (Tier 1 law firm, ranked by Vault among top 3 firms in the U.S. for the last 10 years) immediately after graduation. I worked there from June 2021 until August 2022, when I got hired as a Business Development Coordinator for the Global team at White & Case (ranked 7th in the world by several rankings) and here is where I am currently working.
CUNY has been with me since I arrived to this country, and it will be part of every step I take upwards in my professional development.
