Dr. Rabi Musah - SUNY Albany 
New Frontiers in the Application of Ambient Ionization Mass Spectrometry in Criminalistics - Addressing Current Challenges in Forensic Entomology and Endangered Species Trafficking Using DART-MS

Dr. Musah is a professor of chemistry at the State University of New York in Albany. Her research interests
forensic identification of newly emerging psychoactive drugs and DART-MS applications for the forensic identification of carrion insect and other species. Professor Musah also conducts research on STEM education and has been featured on TV and in scientific magazines. In her presentation, Professor Musah will describe new and innovative approaches that are being developed in her lab that extract chemical information from various materials, and use it to enable forensic identification of plant and animal species.
