Deanne Criswell is New York City’s fourth Commissioner of Emergency Management since the creation of the modern Department following a public referendum. Starting on July 1, 2019, she has already coordinated the City’s response to several high-profile events.

This talk promises to be a mix of “get acquainted” and an early look at her priorities and direction for the agency. Criswell comes to NYCEM after a 25-year career in federal, military, and local government. Her FEMA service includes a National Incident Management Assistance Team leader, and Federal Coordinating Officer.
