Learn
how to prepare for John Jays Career + Internship Fair! These workshops
will cover résumé development and prep students to be “career ready” for
the fair. Students will find out what employers are looking for and
learn what to wear, how to research employers, and how to interact with
recruiters. The final piece of the series will provide tips on how to
follow up after the fair and how students can maximize on networking
they did at the fair.
Time: 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
WEEK 1 (9/9): PREPARATION
WEEK 2 (9/16): NETWORKING
WEEK 3 (9/23): EMPLOYER RESEARCH
WEEK 4 (9/30): HOW TO ‘WORK A VIRTUAL BOOTH’ & DO’S & DON’TS OF A VIRTUAL FAIR
WEEK 5 (10/7): ATTEND THE VIRTUAL CAREER + INTERNSHIP FAIR OCTOBER 7TH 2021 (this will be on John Jay Careers online)
WEEK 6 (10/14): ‘I ATTENDED THE CAREER FAIR…NOW WHAT?’
