SHELLEY JOHNSON, PHD
Dr. Johnson is a full professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. She received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2001. Her areas of interest include: corrections, criminological theory, and victimization. She has authored 30 academic publications, including 4 books and has been awarded over $2.5 million dollars in external funding from federal, state, and local agencies to conduct research on a variety of correctional interventions. Finally, Dr. Johnson provides consultation to agencies throughout the country on the topics of classification and assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based services, problem solving courts, and re-entry.
