Integrating Information: Summary, Paraphrase, Quotation |
|
Event Description: In this workshop, students will develop the ability to incorporate information from readings into well-written paragraphs in order to support their ideas or claims; the workshop demonstrates how to present such information effectively by means of pertinent quotations, paraphrases, statistics, and charts. Additionally, students will also learn how to use brief summary and context to explain the information. The skills learned here are essential for constructing convincing response papers, writing policy memoranda, and for meeting the requirements of the MPAQE. The workshop has a hands-on component. |
