Jack Murphy (Fire Marshal, Leonia, NJ ret.) is an expert on firefighting and inci- dent management in high-rise buildings and a leader of the Fire Safety Director’s Association of Greater New York. Their co-author James Murtagh (Deputy Chief, FDNY ret.) is a retired Professor in the Fire Science program at John Jay Col- lege of Criminal Justice.
