This presentation will summarize what the National Security Agency (NSA) does as a whole, give some specifics on work as a mathematician, and explain employment opportunities. It will then go through the history of several cryptosystems, highlighting their weaknesses and demonstrating the need for better methods of encryption and proper usage, focusing primarily on the German Enigma.
