8th Annual CUNY Accessibility Conference
Start Date: 4/11/2017

Event Description:

Dr. Vita C. Rabinowitz, Executive Vice Chancellor and University Provost at CUNY, will be the keynote speaker at the 8th Annual CUNY Accessibility Conference on April 11, 2017 at John Jay College. For nearly a decade, Dr. Rabinowitz served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Hunter College, where she has been a dedicated faculty member. In addition to teaching and mentoring thousands of students over the course of her 37 years at Hunter, she held a variety of administrative positions before assuming the role of provost, including chairperson of the Department of Psychology, acting associate provost, and acting provost.

The Conference theme of “Success through Academic Partnership” is especially true for students with disabilities. The results of collaborative work will be shared with the rest of the campus community.

The CUNY Accessibility Conference brings together City University of New York professionals and others involved in the field of disability services and higher education to share information, network, and receive theoretical and practical training. Since 2009, the CUNY Accessibility Conference has grown from an almost exclusively CUNY faculty/staff event to the premier conference of its kind on the East Coast.
