John Butler, PhD - National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 
The Science of Forensic DNA: Capabilities and Limitations 

Dr. Butler is a textbook author and world renowned expert on forensic genetics. After many years in charge of the Applied Genetics group at NIST, work as the co-chair of the National Commission on Forensic Science and on the OSAC, he now serves as the special assistant to the NIST director for forensic science. He is the current president of the International Society for Forensic Genetics. His talk will cover the current state of forensic DNA typing.
