Disability, Dance, Artistry/NYC – ADA25 NYC

Event Description:

In partnership with Dance/NYC, CUNY will host a forum and workshops on a powerful contemporary dance form, physically integrated dance. This program will feature a screening of the acclaimed film “An Invitation to Dance,” with a talk-back with director Simi Linton.

Disability, Dance, Artistry/NYC is part of the City University of New York’s commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). This landmark legislation granted people with disabilities the same civil rights enjoyed by other citizens in all areas of public life.
