Braver Angels is a renowned grassroots, bipartisan organization committed to the work of political depolarization.  In this talk, Braver Angels National Ambassador John Wood, Jr. discusses Braver Angels’s philosophy and techniques for brokering trust across the political divide, from kitchen tables all the way up to the halls of congress, while also surveying the landscape of American political and racial polarization and the history that lies behind them.

John Wood, Jr. is a national ambassador for Braver Angeles - America's largest grassroots, bipartisan organization focused on political depolarization. John is a noted writer and speaker on the subjects of moral philosophy and racial and political reconciliation, whose written work has appeared in outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Real Clear Politics, the Washington Examiner, Reflections (a journal of the Yale School of Divinity) and Quillette Magazine. He is a  former nominee for Congress, former Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County, and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
